About

|
Business Description: Mobile Health Library™(MHL) is a HIPAA-compliant clinical engagement system built to support needs of health-related customers, including patients, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and caregivers. MHL apps support medication and medical device safe use, medication adherence, disease understanding, and health outcomes attainment. Adherent Health is the sole licensor of the MHL system.
Company Background: Rob Dhoble, CEO, founded Adherent Health and Mobile Health Library in April 2010. The last three and a half years have been dedicated to developing and commercializing an innovative mobile patient engagement system that cost-effectively and privately supports patients in medication safe use, medication adherence, and attainment of desired treatment outcomes.
Markets: The MHL system helps pharmaceutical companies better address the problem of medication non-adherence and medication safety on a brand-specific basis. Non-adherence to prescription medicines cost the U.S. Healthcare system $317.4 Billion in 2011 (Express Scripts, 2012). Misuse of prescription medicine costs the U.S. Healthcare system over $200 Billion annually. (IMS Institute).
Competition: Primary competitors are narrow-purpose mobile apps that do not integrate as a single prescribe-able system for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, patients and caregivers. Only MHL has demonstrated an ability to support health customer engagement at scale, with HIPAA compliance, full iOS, Android and Kindle Fire device harmonization, and special balance and disclosure functionality to address specific Rx, OTC and medical device brand regulatory requirements.

3 Major Issues

|
- Since our platform is a clinical communications hub that adds value to many parties, options in addition to being an acquisition target, include Adherent Health acquiring or combining with a health outcomes services company with a customer base that does not have a mobile customer engagement system. Since timing is everything are we better off: a) planning for receiving acquisition offers or, b) pursuing a consolidation strategy that more quickly increases scale and business performance.

- Although as much 50-60% of the pharma sales & marketing spend is in the United States, how do we take advantage of the global opportunity with the MHL platform? Strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, or opening our own office?

- What are your suggestions for balancing the return for the investor with our need to retain capital for growth? What are your ideas on a preferred exit strategy for our investors?
