Beat H. Leber
Pharmaceutical Consulting
Prior to starting his own consultancy, Beat H. Leber, worked for more than 7 years at The Mattson Jack Group ("MJG"), a consulting company fully dedicated to health care. Mr. Leber served as a founding Partner and Managing Director of Mattson Jack's Corporate Development Services ("CDS") in their Philadelphia offices. CDS focused on small and midsized pharma and biotech companies located mainly on the U.S. East Coast and in Europe.
Mr. Leber is an experienced pharmaceutical executive with comprehensive knowledge in marketing, general management, and all facets of business development, including M&A. He originally entered the pharmaceutical industry via the sales route, and he held various sales & marketing, general management, and business development positions of increasing importance with Merck [US] (9 years), Syntex (4 years), and Wyeth (16 years), both overseas and in the U.S. headquarters. Prior to joining MJG, Mr. Leber was General Manager of Wyeth Switzerland and Austria and subsequently became Group Vice President of International Marketing and Vice President of Wyeth's Global Business Development operations. Among Mr. Leber's primary tasks were to structuring and integrating the international marketing division of the acquired Lederle company ,to manage Wyeth-Lederle's combined international marketing operation and later on to pursue in- and out-licensing activities, including mergers and acquisitions as well as co-marketing and co-promotion arrangements, on a global or regional basis. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society.
